Northwest Lentil Chili

32 ounces canned tomato juice

OR 4-cups 2 cups diced -- raw potato

15 ounces cooked chickpeas

1 cup lentils -- washed

1 cup diced carrots

1/2 cup diced onion

2 tablespoons chili powder

2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules

1 teaspoon crushed basil

2 cloves garlic -- minced

Combine all ingredients in a Dutch oven and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and s immer, covered, about 30 minutes or until lentils are tender. Busted by Hanneman 07/27/98(Mon)
